The present invention relates to an electric chain hoist using a single-phase motor. The electric chain hoist comprises: a motor unit; a decelerator unit; a chain unit; a brake unit; and a power control unit. The motor unit includes a stator, a rotor, and a rotor shaft. The decelerator unit includes a triple decelerator which is connected to the rotor shaft of the motor unit. The chain unit includes a chain and a load sheave which is connected to the decelerator unit to hoist up and down the chain. The brake unit can rotate and fix the rotor shaft of the motor unit. The power control unit controls power supplied to the motor unit. The triple decelerator of the decelerator unit includes a first drive shaft which is connected to the rotor shaft of the motor unit, a first gear which is installed on the first drive shaft; a second drive shaft which is separated from the first drive shaft and is disposed in parallel to the first drive shaft, a second gear and a third gear which are installed on the second drive shaft, a third drive shaft which is separated from the second drive shaft and is disposed in parallel to the second drive shaft, a fourth gear and a fifth gear which are installed on the third drive shaft; and a sixth gear which is disposed in parallel to the third drive shaft and is coupled to the load sheave of the chain unit. At the time of driving the motor unit, the first gear and the second gear, the third gear and the fourth gear, and the fifth gear and the sixth gear are coupled to perform triple deceleration.
