A linear motor according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a stator part comprising a stator frame having an internal space for accommodating a permanent magnet therein; and a mover part which is installed to surround the outer periphery of the stator frame and is operated by an electromagnetic force generated between the permanent magnet and the mover part when a current is applied. It is preferable that the mover part comprises: a coil unit having a plurality of coil members which are installed on the stator frame so as to surround the outer periphery of the stator frame and have a ring-type cross section; an insulating part having a plurality of insulating members installed on the stator frame so as to be in close contact with the ring-type cross section of the coil members; and a frame unit which has a coil accommodating space for accommodating the coil unit and the insulating unit therein, and closes the coil accommodating space thereby fixing the positions of the coil unit and the insulating unit.
