PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a material for organic electroluminescent devices having a high efficiency and a longer life; and an organic electroluminescent device arranged by use of such a material.SOLUTION: A material for organic electroluminescent devices is expressed by the following general formula (1). In the formula, Xto Xindependently represent a hydrogen atom, a deuterium atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group with 1C-15C, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group with 6C-18C forming a ring, or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group with 5C-18C forming a ring; Arand Arindependently represent a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group with 6C-12C forming a ring, or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group with 5C-13C forming a ring; L represents phenylene or biphenylene; and E represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom. |
