According to the present invention, a method for outputting information related to external sound signals inputted to a sound output device includes: a step of estimating a direction and a type of a sound source corresponding to external sound signals by using the external signals inputted to each microphone of the sound output device which has greater than or equal to three microphones located at different sites; a step of generating an alarm signal including information of the sound source based on the direction and the type of the sound source; and a step of outputting the alarm signal through one or more speakers included in the sound output device.
