The present invention is configured so as to be equipped with: an external environment detection unit (12) capable of detecting three-dimensional image information; an image local feature detection unit (15) that detects an image local feature in the image information; an obstruction determination unit (17) that compares the image local feature information detected by the image local feature detection unit (15) with feature part information for a vehicle (1), thereby determining whether an object detected in the image information is the vehicle (1); and a distance information acquisition unit (18) that, when the object has been determined by the obstruction determination unit (17) to be the vehicle (1), detects the inter-vehicle distance, that is, the distance to the vehicle (1) detected in the image information, on the basis of the image information detected by the external environment detection unit (12). |
