PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and methods for navigating program items in a media guidance application.SOLUTION: Systems and methods for navigating program items in a media guidance application are provided. A program item may be displayed that corresponds to a first time period. A user request to change the first time period may be received. In response to the request to change the time period, a hopscotch display may be provided that gives user access to a plurality of consecutive time periods from which the user can select to have corresponding program items displayed. A user selection of one of the displayed time periods may be received and a second program item corresponding to the selected time period may be displayed.
