<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for cell culture including a poorly water-soluble substance in which the poorly water-soluble substance acts effectively and properly on cell culture in the culture medium in the cell culture essentially requiring the poorly water-soluble substance, thereby contributing to the cell culture without cytotoxicity, and a cell culture method using the same.SOLUTION: A composition for cell culture contains: a poorly water-soluble substance; and a copolymer (copolymer (A)) of 2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine and n-stearyl methacrylate, a copolymer (copolymer (B)) of 2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine and n-lauryl methacrylate, or a mixture of the copolymer (A) and the copolymer (B). A cell culture method is provided in which the composition for cell culture containing the poorly water-soluble substance and one of the copolymers is added to the culture media to culture the cells.</p> |
