This exhaust gas recirculation device is equipped with: a fresh air throttle part that is continuous from a fresh air inlet part and constructed so as to throttle a flow of fresh air; a cylindrical inner tube part that is continuous from the fresh air throttle part and has an open end on the opposite side to the fresh air throttle part; an exhaust gas inlet part that is constructed so as to receive a flow of exhaust gas; an enclosure part that is continuous from the exhaust gas inlet part and surrounds the inner tube part, thereby defining a circumferential flow passage for the exhaust gas that extends along the outer circumferential surface of the inner tube part; and a cylindrical outlet part that is continuous from the enclosure part and defines a confluence passage, said confluence passage being constructed so as to receive a flow of fresh air flowing out from the open end of the inner tube part and a flow of exhaust gas flowing out from the circumferential flow passage. An annular opening, which extends along the open end of the inner tube part and provides communication between the circumferential flow passage and the confluence passage, is defined between the open end of the inner tube part and the enclosure part.
