<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve discharge properties of residual materials in a separation section.SOLUTION: A sheet manufacturing apparatus comprises: a separation section 50 separating materials including fiber by causing the materials to pass through a plurality of openings 311; and a formation section forming a sheet by using a passing object separated. The separation section 50 comprises: a cylindrical section 300 being provided with the plurality of openings 311 on a curved surface and being rotated; two side portions 500a and 500b being positioned at end portions of both sides spaced apart from each other in an extension direction of a rotation axis of the cylindrical portion 300 and not being rotated; an introduction section 540 being provided at one side portions 500a and introducing the materials to the cylindrical portion; and a discharge section 550 being provided at the other side portions 500b, being positioned at a side lower than the introduction section 540 in a vertical direction, and discharging residual materials that are the materials not passing through the openings 311.</p> |
