An electrical protection device for an electrical load includes a pair of input terminals and for respectively electrically connecting to an active conductor and a neutral conductor of an electrical power source. A second monitoring unit selectively generates a second fault signal. A protection unit operates in a normal state to electrically connect terminals and to terminals and respectively to allow the load current to flow from source to load via device.
