PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide positive electrode active material which has high capacity, and is superior in cycle characteristics and high temperature stability as the positive electrode active material of a secondary battery.SOLUTION: In lithium complex compound particle powder in which lithium manganese-containing composite oxide is used as a core particle, a surface treatment component containing at least fluorine and a metal element (A is an element of at least one kind or more selected from Li, Mg, Al, Ti, Zn, Zr, and Y) is made to exist on a particle surface of the core particle. When the particle surface of the lithium complex compound particle powder is analyzed by a time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometer, the cation intensity ratio (LiF/LiO) is 1.0 to 100, and the intensity ratio (A/TM) of ions of the metal element (A) of the surface treatment component to ions of a transition metal element is 1.0 to 1,000. |
