<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a developer from leaking to the outside of a process cartridge when the process cartridge is removed from the device body of an image formation device and a developer carrier is separated from an electrophotographic photoreceptor. <P>SOLUTION: A developing unit 4 of a process cartridge has developer scattering suppression means with a first sheet member 25. The developer scattering suppression means brings the first sheet member 25 into contact with an electrophotographic photoreceptor 1 when a developer carrier 17 is separated from the electrophotographic photoreceptor 1 and causes the first sheet member 25 to be separated from the electrophotographic photoreceptor 1 when the developer carrier 17 comes into contact with the electrophotographic photoreceptor 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
