PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent noise from being mixed into image data generated by reading a document.SOLUTION: In outputting electric charges from a CIS in order, when a pixel shift count value C1 and a chopping count value C2 are not in an overlapping relation which is fixed as a relation in which timing to output the electric charge (electric signal) from the CIS and chopping timing are assumed to overlap each other, the electric charge is output from the CIS (S170 to S200). When the pixel shift count value C1 and the chopping count value C2 are in the overlapping relation, the electric charge is not output from the CIS and standby is started (S170 to S190). Then, using the electric charges output from the CIS, the image data is generated (S230). |
