PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable extremely-low-carbon steel with less inclusions to be cast by effectively suppressing carbon pickup in molten steel and collapse of refractories during heating when manufacturing the extremely-low-carbon steel.SOLUTION: The extremely-low-carbon steel is manufactured using a tundish coated with a dry execution dry coating agent containing an organic binder with ignition point of ≥320°C and ≤500°C. Since the dry coating method is adopted to the tundish without causing carbon pickup in the molten steel and the collapse of the refractories is suppressed, the extremely-low-carbon steel is manufactured by suppressing the inclusions due to cleaning work for opening an injection hole. |
