A computer-implemented method of authenticating communication between a device and an entity, the device having an identity application residing on a secure element and a received application residing on an application processor, the method comprising the steps of providing at least one cryptographic key to the identity application, receiving encrypted data from a server, authenticating communication between the device and the server by unencrypting the encrypted data using the at least one cryptographic key, receiving, at the identity application, one or more security tokens from the server, providing, to the received application, at least one of the one or more security tokens, and communicating, via the received application, with an entity based on receiving at least one of the one or more security tokens at the received application. |
