<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method of a rotary kiln for reduction-roasting of steel dust by which even from steel dust having much content of zinc, zinc can be recovered with high yield and an iron-containing clinker usable as iron resources can be obtained without increasing reduction-roasting temperature to higher than the ordinary reduction-roasting temperature and without performing complicated work such as pretreatment. <P>SOLUTION: The operation method of the rotary kiln for reduction-roasting of the steel dust is provided by which the zinc-containing steel dust is roasted together with carbonaceous reduction agent and the zinc in the steel dust is volatilized to be recovered. The operation method is characterized in that iron-containing clinker recovered as residue when the steel dust is roasted together with the carbonaceous reduction agent is charged into the rotary kiln for reduction-roasting together with the zinc-containing steel dust. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
