The present invention is to provide a polyarylene-based resin composition having excellent impact strength without degradation in other mechanical properties, and particularly, relates to a polyarylene-based resin composition which is appropriate for a component for a water heater and a boiler pipe since the composition can have durability with respect to a water hammer phenomenon, and includes: 57-69.9 wt% of polyarylene-based resin, 1-9 wt% of an elastomer, 0.1-1 wt% of an epoxy compound, and 25-34 wt% of a filler. According to the present invention, impact strength of the polyarylene-based resin composition can be enhanced without significant degradation in other physical properties by: mixing a polyarylene-based resin, particularly, a polyphenylene sulfide resin, which has excellent heat resistance and chemical resistance but has low impact strength while having high mechanical strength, thereby having brittleness of being susceptible to be fractured, with 1-9 wt%, or preferably an optimized amount within the range of 5-9 wt% of an elastomer; and reinforcing the polyphenylene sulfide resin with the filler. |
