<p>A curling broom comprises a broom handle and a curling broom head mounted to the broom handle. The curling broom head comprises a sweeping pad and a cover. The sweeping pad defines at least one cavity comprising movable particles. The cover at least covers the at least one cavity and being in contact with the movable particles. The cover defines a contact surface contacting an ice surface during sweeping. During sweeping the movable particles frictionally move against and relative to each other and against and relative to the cover converting kinetic energy to heat for being transferred to the ice surface via the contact surface.</p> |
