FIELD: physics.SUBSTANCE: an infrared vidicon-based device, which is an electron tube placed inside a deflecting-focusing system and structurally made in the form of a vacuum metal-glass flask with an entrance window which is transparent for the detected radiation, having inside it a target and an electron gun, additionally includes a feedback unit between the target and the cathode which, by applying the corresponding voltage across the cathode, enables to set different levels of target current at preparation and reading steps, and to compensate inhomogeneity of target current at preparation and reading steps. Voltage applied across the cathode is proportional to the difference between the value of the signal of the present target current and a constant level predefined for both the preparation step and the reading step, wherein the signal of the target current first undergoes frequency filtering.EFFECT: low target current and high uniformity of target current and field signal current, reduced noise and high sensitivity.3 dwg |
