The apparatus for limiting vehicle speed comprises: an automatic navigation unit; and a speed setting unit. The automatic navigation unit is installed inside a vehicle and stores speed limit information for each road. The speed setting unit connected with the automatic navigation unit through a data line and receives the speed limit information during traveling of the vehicle to automatically set the maximum speed of the vehicle.
