Plastic aerosol container and method of manufacture

A plastic aerosol container (10) and method of manufacture is disclosed. The plastic container is made of a polymer which can be crystallised. The neck (16) of the container preform is thermally crystallized prior to blow moulding the body portion (13) of the container. This creates a pull point junction (19) from which strain orientation occurs begins during the blow moulding process. The neck finish (16) of the container is configured to receive an aerosol valve and closure (1). By thermally stabilising the neck finish (16) deformation in the neck region about the valve and closure (1) is prevented.
