A PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF A CONTINUOUS FIBER REINFORCED COMPOSITE AND A COMPOSITE MANUFACTURED THEREOF

The present disclosure relates to method of manufacturing plurality of jet vanes using the process comprising acts of, preparing three directional fibrous preform using fabric and stitching fabric stack; rigidizing the fibrous preform using pitches by infiltration at first predetermined temperature; carbonizing the preform at second predetermined temperature; graphitizing the preform at third predetermined temperature; densifying the preform. The graphitized fibrous preform is densified by impregnation using slurry of SiC powder and coal tar pitch to obtain the fibrous preform having optimal density. The densified preform is carbonized at second predetermined temperature and predetermined pressure. Thereafter, heat treating at fourth predetermined temperature to obtain the continuous fibre reinforced composite. The method of manufacturing jet-vanes comprising acts of machining the composites as per dimension of the jet vanes using predetermined method of machining; and impregnating the machined composites into crucible filled with molten silicon in furnace for predetermined duration.
