<p> The present invention can reduce the risk of an adhesive, which is coated on the underwear-contact surface of an absorbent article, marking underwear after use, even when a fragrance (30) is included in the absorbent article. An absorbent article (1) according to the present embodiment has, in the thickness direction (T) thereof, a layer between a region in which an adhesive (15) is coated and a region including a fragrance (3), said layer being composed from a material selected from the group consisting of ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer resin, polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinylidene chloride, polyamide, polyester, polyvinyl chloride, aluminum-coated film, aluminum foil, polymer film coated with volatile, non-permeable lacquer, or a mixture thereof.
