PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent easy release of a brake and avoid complicating surroundings of a driver seat. ! SOLUTION: A foot operating parking brake comprises: a brake lever 2 rotatably provided to a frame 1 of a vehicle body; a rotating shaft 20 provided to the brake lever 2; a base part 21 provided to the brake lever 2; a brake device connected to the brake lever 2; a lock mechanism 4 for fixing the brake lever 2 to a stamping position; and a release mechanism 5 for releasing the brake lever 2 fixed at the stamping position. The release mechanism 5 is provided with a pedal part 50 slidable between an initial position and a release position along the base part 21. When the brake lever 2 is fixed to the stamping position, sliding the pedal part 50 from the initial position to the release position releases the fixing of the brake lever 2. !
