A single cell with a metal plate according to one embodiment of the present invention is provided with: a single cell of a fuel cell, which is provided with a solid electrolyte, a fuel electrode that is arranged on one surface of the solid electrolyte and an air electrode that is arranged on the other surface of the solid electrolyte; and a metal plate that is bonded to the single cell with use of a brazing material. The metal plate contains Ti and Al and has an oxide layer containing Al and Ti on the surface of the metal plate, while having an Al oxide coating film on the surface of the oxide layer. A part of the surface of the Al oxide coating film, said part being in contact with the brazing material, is separated from a phase containing Ti. The other part of the surface of the Al oxide coating film has a phase containing Ti, and the interface between the solid electrolyte and the brazing material has a Ti reactive phase. |
