PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery which never suffers the worsening of a large-current performance even in the case of using a high-potential positive electrode, and is superior in long-term characteristics and safety.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte battery comprises: an electrolyte including a silicon-containing compound consisting of at least one compound selected from a group consisting of an inorganic acid, an organic acid, an acid amide and an amine with at least one hydrogen atom substituted with a silicon-containing functional group; a negative electrode including, as a negative electrode active material, a metal oxide, of which the lithium occlusion/release potential is 1-3 V (vs. Li/Li); and a positive electrode, of which the positive electrode potential based on lithium is over 4.2 V (vs. Li/Li) on condition that the nonaqueous electrolyte battery is full charged. |
