The present invention relates to a management system of food waste weight and a management method thereof for performing self-diagnosis and compensation when there is a malfunction in a load cell which measures the weight of food waste and for measuring the weight of food waste. The management system of food waste weight of the present invention comprises: a first load cell for detecting the weight of food waste inserted into a collecting device; a second load cell for detecting the weight of food waste inserted into the collecting device; a first A/D processing unit connected to the first load cell for converting an analog value measured by the first load cell into a digital value; a second A/D processing unit connected to the second load cell for converting an analog value measured by the second load cell into a digital value; and a processing means for determining the weight of food waste inserted into the collecting device according to an output of the digital values processed by the first A/D processing unit and the second A/D processing unit. The present invention can accurately recognize the weight of food waste inserted even if a disorder occurs in one of the first load cell and the second load cell.
