The invention relates to a composite profile, in particular for windows, fixed glazing elements, façades, doors or skylights. The composite profile comprises two metal profile parts (1, 2) which are connected to one another via at least one insulating profile part (3). The at least one insulating profile part (3) consists of a heat-resistant skeleton structure (5, 5a) interspersed with a plastic, and is fastened in grooves (4) in the two metal profile parts (1, 2) by profile regions (3a, 3b) formed on said skeleton structure. Boundaries of the grooves (4) of the two metal profile parts (1, 2) penetrate individual structural elements (5a) of the skeleton structure (5) or the entire skeleton structure (5) of the insulating profile part (3) at a plurality of points in each element or structure. As a result, it is possible to establish a particularly secure connection between the skeleton structure (5, 5a) of the insulating profile part (3) and the metal profile parts (1, 2), which reliably prevents the metal profile parts (1, 2) from coming apart even if the plastic has degraded or burned away. |
