PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic ticket examination machine which can improve a packaging layout inside a ticket examination machine housing narrow in housing width and mount a geared motor of a 80 degree angle in size and can use the geared motor of a 80 degree angle employed heretofore and can reduce a manufacturing cost. ! SOLUTION: An automatic ticket examination machine 10 installs a motor shaft 22A-1 and a geared motor 22 deviated in a gear head shaft 22B-1 for opening and closing a door 15 inside a housing 51 (a ticket examination machine main body 10A), and is configured to select an arrangement attitude of the geared motor 22 such that the position of the motor shaft and the position of the gear head shaft are set at a vertical direction (a vertical line 23), and the geared motor 22 is installed near to a door shaft 15B of the door 15. !
