An oil separator (10) has: an oil separator body (12) in which a gas channel (28) is formed between a gas inlet (30) for leading in blow-by gas and a gas discharge port (32) for discharging blow-by gas; a flap (14) extending along a direction orthogonal to the gas channel (28) and opening and closing the gas channel (28), the flap being provided with a substantially circular valve part (16) having a linear part (16B) that is substantially linear in shape in part of the outer periphery; and a collision wall (40) provided along the outer periphery of the valve part (16) on the downstream side of the valve part (16) in the gas channel (28), the collision wall (40) having a linear part (40B) that is substantially linear in shape along the linear part (16B), and being used for causing the flow of blow-by gas flowing out from the peripheral edge of the valve part (16) to collide in order to capture oil. |
