<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time required for checking disconnection in a thermal head. <P>SOLUTION: A device for checking disconnection in a thermal head includes: an energization control means 104 for energizing a plurality of heating elements per group; a reference voltage storing means 105 for storing a reference voltage value being a determination reference in checking the disconnection per group; a voltage detection means 101 for detecting voltages generated in heating elements per group while each group is energized; and a determination means 102 for comparing a detection voltage value of the voltage detection means with the reference voltage value of the reference voltage value storing means, and when the detection voltage value is higher than the reference voltage value, determining that at least one of the heating elements of the groups that have been subjected to the disconnection check causes the disconnection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
