NON-AQUEOUS LIQUID ELECTROLYTE AND LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY COMPRISING THE SAME

According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided are a non-aqueous electrolyte and a lithium secondary battery comprising the same. The electrolyte comprises: a lithium salt; an electrolyte solvent; and tris(pentafluorophenyl)silane represented as chemical formula 1. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the non-aqueous electrolyte can relieve a side reaction represented as oxidation and reduction of an electrolyte generated during charging and discharging, specifically, can relieve a side reaction generated at approximately 1 V or less by electrolyte reduction in comparison with Li/Li+ and a side reaction generated at approximately 4.4 V or more by electrolyte oxidation at the same time. In addition, the mitigation of the side reaction can improve a coulombic efficiency of a cathode and an anode at the same time, and can improve electrode efficiency and durability properties at the same time, thereby improving performance of the lithium secondary battery.
