The present invention relates to a content service system using a virtual channel, and a method thereof. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of: analyzing a user content viewing history; receiving a selection of viewing of a user customized channel; and providing, based on the analysis result of the content viewing history, a user terminal with a certain content included in a list of user customized content, which is generated for the user. According to the present invention, it is possible for a user to conveniently enjoy viewing of content, which is made up of customized content according to a user-specific disposition as if the user watches a broadcast channel in real time. In addition, it is also possible to provide a customized channel service individually for a plurality of users belonging to one subscriber.
