<p>The present invention relates to a water purifier capable of adjusting a water level by measuring a sound of falling water on a container, the invention comprising: a sound source input unit for receiving a sound source of a falling water sound from an audio sensor of the water purifier; a first filter and a second filter for filtering a sound source from the sound source input unit; a filtering interval setting unit for collecting the filtered sound source by the first filter for a predetermined time period (hereinafter, first interval) after water begins to be supplied to the container, and for filtering a frequency band from the collected sound source; and a water level determination unit for measuring decibels of the filtered sound source by the second filter during a time period (second interval) after the first interval and for transmitting a signal for cutting off the water supply to the container if an obtained decibel is greater than a reference decibel. According to the water purifier described above, only a sound source sensor is provided as a sensor for measuring a water level of the container and thus, it is possible to reduce unit costs for manufacturing. In addition, the sensor does not need linearity when measuring a sound, and thus, it is possible to remove problems such as malfunction of the sensor, which is caused by the contamination by foreign substances.</p> |
