The present invention relates to a method for controlling the temperature of a slab and an apparatus therefor comprises the steps of: heating a slab in a heating furnace; calculating a first compensation temperature in a finishing mill entry side based on residence time of the slab; calculating a second compensation temperature compensating a temperature difference of both ends of the slab based on a length of the slab; reheating the slab based on the first compensation temperature and the second compensation temperature; and measuring the temperature of the reheated slab. |
