1. A connector for an optical fiber, the connector comprising:
a housing defining a lumen and including a proximal end and distal end; a collet configured to receive a portion of the optical fiber, the collet disposed in the lumen such that the collet holds the optical fiber in place with respect to the housing; an adjustable ferrule secured to the proximal end of the housing and rotatable with respect to the housing to translate a proximal end of the optical fiber longitudinally with respect to a proximal end of the adjustable ferrule; a connector element secured to the proximal end of the housing with the adjustable ferrule, wherein the connector element is rotatable with respect to the housing; and a collar disposed around the housing, the collar secured to the connector element and spaced from the housing such that rotation of the collar rotates the connector element with respect to the housing. |
