PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermittent coating apparatus in which an elevated portion is not formed at a starting end of a coating section even when a gap between a web and a die changes.SOLUTION: An intermittent coating apparatus applies intermittent coating to a running web W by performing the steps of: supplying a coating liquid from a first outlet 16 of a valve 10 to a die 104; circulating the coating liquid from a second outlet 18 of the valve 10 to a tank 110 of the coating liquid; opening/closing a first valve plug 26 disposed at the first outlet 16 of the valve 10 by a first voice coil motor 30; and opening/closing a second valve plug 28 disposed at the second outlet 18 by a second voice coil motor 32. When forming a coating section L1, the intermittent coating apparatus delays a first sliding speed of a first sliding shaft 34 of the first voice coil motor 30, the greater a gap g is between a discharge port 109 of the die 104 and the web W in comparison to a reference gap. |
