PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can control the amount of a developer inside a developing device to a desired value.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes a developing device 2 and a control unit 70. The developing device 2 includes a stirring member 42 that can rotate at a rotation speed H and a rotation speed L being a lower speed than the rotation speed H and changes the amount of a developer to be discharged to the outside of the developing device 2 according to the rotation speed. The control unit 70 drives to rotate the stirring member 42 at the rotation speed L, and subsequently drives to rotate the stirring member 42 at the rotation speed H for a first time. The rotation speed H is set higher as the fluidity of the developer becomes lower. |
