PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly sharpen an image, while reducing the volume of data held.SOLUTION: An image processing method acquires an input image generated by imaging, selects a plurality of different optical transfer functions according to an imaging condition of the input image and an image height from a reference position, in a predetermined image-height direction, rotates the optical transfer functions around the reference position, and performs interpolation according to pixel arrangement, to arrange an optical transfer function on the input image in a two-dimensional manner. Point spread function is generated for each of positions in the input image, by use of the optical transfer function arranged in a two-dimensional manner. A filter having a coefficient which is rotationally asymmetric in a filter surface is generated by use of the point spread function. The filter is applied to the input image, to generate a correction signal. The input image is sharpened by use of the correction signal and the input image. |
