PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply power to a dongle device, and exchange data between the dongle device and an electronic apparatus via a phone jack. ! SOLUTION: A system for managing an electronic apparatus with at least a 4-pole phone jack comprises: a dongle device that has a phone plug inserted in the phone jack, and on which an integrated circuit recording an authenticating secure key is mounted; and a management program installed in the electronic apparatus and limiting a specific function of the electronic apparatus or cancelling the limitation of the function by authentication of the authenticating secure key recorded in the dongle device. The dongle device connected to the electronic apparatus makes the integrated circuit function using sound-outputting signals of any one of right and left sound channels as power, and data is exchanged between the electronic apparatus and the dongle device using the sound channel and a microphone channel. !
