PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase persistence of a client's interest in a game. ! SOLUTION: Upon detection of payment of a counter value, a game device determines whether time elapsed after completion of processing for the previous one play is more than or equal to a predetermined period. Then, if the elapsed time is more than or equal to the predetermined period, the game device controls progress of the game by changing settings to be advantageous to a user in execution of processing for one play corresponding to the payment of the counter value. !
