PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile driver, without generating an excess projection in a leader, by installing a main rope pole in the leader, without increasing cost. ! SOLUTION: In a pile driver 1, a leader 30 is formed by connecting a plurality of leader members 30A-30G, and is installed in an upper turning body 10 so as to be capable of undulating. A ladder 34 is fixed to the respective leader members 30C, 30D and 30E, and the ladder 34 comprises a vertical member 34a extending in the vertical direction in a falling state of the leader 30, and an upper side plate 34b and a lower side plate 34c extending in the horizontal direction. The vertical member 34a of the ladder 34 is formed of a hollow pipe.
