A solder terminal 20 is snapped into an aperture 14 in a printed circuit panel 11 and is retained by a bead 24 and projections 28, an inserted lead being gripped by skirts 27 and then dip-soldered to the terminal. In another embodiment (Fig. 8) the lead is wrapped round the terminal between beads 42, 46, while in Fig. 9 it is wrapped and the flared-out ends 56 of skirts 54. In yet another embodiment (Fig. 10, not shown), an insulated lead is inserted into the terminal and the conductor gripped between flared-out ends of the skirts, round which may also be wrapped another wire.
