PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle detecting apparatus that can accurately detect fluorescent particles to be detected.SOLUTION: A particle detecting apparatus comprises: a light source 10 that irradiates fluid with exciting light; a fluorescence gauge 2 that measures light of the fluorescent band generated in the area irradiated with the exciting light; and a determining unit 301 that determines whether or not the light measured by the fluorescence gauge 2 contains Raman scattering light and fluorescent light and, if it determines that the measured light contains fluorescent light, determines that the fluid contains fluorescent particles, if it determines that the measured light contains no fluorescent light, determines that the fluid contains fluorescent particles, if it determines that the measured light contains Raman scattering light, determines that the fluid contains moisture, and if it determines that the measured light contains no Raman scattering light, determines that the fluid contains no moisture. |
