PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimally perform display of an index concerning posture of an apparatus according to a photographing condition.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus capable of mounting a predetermined optical component on a lens section includes: imaging means that captures a subject image incident to the lens section; display means that displays an image captured by the imaging means; detection means that detects posture of the imaging apparatus; determination means that determines whether the predetermined optical component is mounted on the lens section; and control means that displays an index indicating the posture of the imaging apparatus on the display means. The control means switches a display form of the index indicating the posture of the imaging apparatus according to a result of determination by the determination means. |
