PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflective photoelectric sensor capable of increasing the number of objects to be averaged, by generating a line beam enlarged not only in the length direction but also in the width direction, thereby widening the detection range. ! SOLUTION: A photoelectric sensor 100 includes a LD51 that is a projection unit for irradiating an object, at a position separated by an assumed distance, with light, a throttle 52b, and a projection lens 53. The throttle 52b shields the outer periphery of the light irradiated from the LD51. The projection lens 53 converts the light passed through the throttle 52b into a substantially parallel light beam.
