PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasion-resistant rubber composition sufficient in flexibility, excellent in both insulation performance and abrasion resistance without increase in the viscosity of the rubber composition, and a rubber coated cable having a sheath layer (an outer layer coating) formed of the rubber composition. ! SOLUTION: The abrasion-resistant rubber composition includes a carbon black of 5-25 pts.mass, a silica of 5-40 pts.mass and a polysulfide based silane coupling agent of 1-10 pts.mass to a chloroprene rubber of 100 pts.mass.
