FIELD: process engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wood and wood wastes processing by pyrolysis. Proposed device comprises vertical pyrolysis chamber (1) with stock loading means (2) and product discharge means (3), source of heat carrier gas composed of kiln (4) and stock decomposition gaseous products discharge line (5). Said pyrolysis chamber (1) houses the rows of tubes (6) shifted in adjacent vertical rows relative to each other. Said chamber 1 is equipped with heat carrier gas distributor composed of a metal structure arranged over the height of chamber (1), in the area of its sidewall on kiln (4) side, and provided with the partition at the level of the tube, third from the top side. Said chamber (1) is provided with heat carrier gas manifold composed of a box-like metal structure located on opposite side of chamber (1) provided with the partition above the level of the tube, third from the top side and communicated with opposite ends of tubes (6) and discharge tube (12). Stock decomposition gaseous products manifold (10) is arranged on sides of chamber (1) and communicated therewith and decomposition products discharge line (5).EFFECT: uniform feed of heat to material in pyrolysis chamber for soft pyrolysis at 250-290°C over the entire volume of said chamber.3 dwg
