<p>The invention relates to aqueous binding agent compositions based on aqueous polymer dispersions, to methods for producing same and to uses thereof. The aqueous binding agent composition contains: a) a water-insoluble polymer P in the form of dispersed polymer particles, that is, in the form of an aqueous polymer dispersion, the polymer P being obtainable by polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomers M, the monomers comprising: 90 to 99.9 wt %, in particular 92 to 99.5 wt %, and specifically 93 to 99 wt %, relative to the total amount of monomers M, of at least one sparingly water-soluble, neutral, monoethylenically unsaturated monomer M1; and 0.1 to 10 wt %, in particular 0.5 to 7 wt %, and specifically 1 to 5 wt %, relative to the total amount of monomers M, of at least one monoethylenically unsaturated monomer M2, which is selected from among monoethylenically unsaturated monomers comprising at least two hydroxyl groups that are bonded to vicinal carbon atoms, and monomers carrying functional groups which can be converted by means of hydrolysis into two hydroxyl groups that are bonded to vicinal carbon atoms; and b) boric acid and/or at least one boric acid salt.</p> |
