A stake for wine- and fruit-growing purposes has at least one hook for retaining a wire. The stake has a basic body with at least one limb made of sheet metal. The hook is a tongue portion, extending from a tongue base to a free end, punched and bent out of the sheet metal. An outer edge of the tongue portion, at an accommodating portion for the wire, is provided with a chamfer. The chamfer is obtained by introducing a first and a second groove, corresponding in shape to the contour of the tongue portion and being in particular V-shaped in cross section, into the basic body and then pressing the tongue portion out of the basic body. |
